§ 74-81. Mufflers and cutouts.

It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle which is not equipped with an efficient device for muffling and deadening the sound incident to the exhaust, and the use of a cutout which allows the exhaust, otherwise than through such muffler, is prohibited.
